Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years as a lawyer, professional speaker and ethicist. Those years taught me how to listen properly, ask the right questions and find the heart of a story. They also made me very comfortable guiding a room - without losing the warmth, humour or tenderness that the occasion calls for.
