Commitment Ceremonies

Marriage is not for everyone. but that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve your day in the spotlight. The ceremony can be as casual or as formal as you would like, and of course, we don’t have to worry about the legal side of things.

Baby Wrapped in Blanket

Babies, children, blended families, and people embracing a new name or a new chapter can all be celebrated with a Naming Ceremony.

This part of my practice is most definitely not an “add on” but deserves the greatest of care. I can welcome your guests, talk about the person or people being celebrated, perhaps include a community blessing, and maybe you would like to include a reading from a grandparent or close supporter.

You might like to “install” one or two people close to you as “godparents” - perhaps called “special friends” or “life guardians” and do a short ceremony acknowledging their new role. Finally a lovely conclusion, with appropriate music choices throughout.

Naming Days

Milestones

Meaningful Welcomes

Welcome a new family member, an older child that needs a reminder of their cherished place in the family, marking a new start, or perhaps celebrating a newly blended family.

Vow Renewals

Maybe after 10, 20, or 50 years, you would like to do to do it all again! I would be delighted to help you relive the joy of being together.

Life Transitions

For when you want to mark a retirement, an overseas transfer or a sweet 16, 21st, 40th, 60th or maybe a 100th!
